Hacking the new VCI-400 with Max for Live
By Nonagon
The VCI-400 — Vestax’s upcoming all-in-one MIDI controller / audio interface — might look like a DJ’s wet dream, but the trusty two decks and a mixer layout belies its power as a fully-configurable, fully-customizable performance platform. Contributing controllerist Nonagon spent a few days with Vestax’s latest to show how a little elbow grease and a lot of Max for Live patching can transform a familiar set of controls into a fully-personalized tool for creative expression.
As promised, Nonagon will be posting all of the Max for Live patches and Ableton Live racks used in this demo for you to download right here. Stay tuned.
