The ACPAD, Wireless Control Surface for Acoustic Guitars
Berlin-based artist Robin Sukruso and ITT Bombay have developed a wireless control surface for acoustic guitars. Watch the impressive demonstration video below for a quick glimpse of what’s possible with it. Check out the ACPAD website for more details and to sign up for updates that will connect you to the forthcoming crowdfunding campaign.
On my last trip to Europe I had the pleasure of playing a festival gig with Mr. Sukroso. He’s been working on the ACPAD and performing with various prototypes for several years now. It’s inspiring for me to see his vision coming to fruition just a short time after my collaboration with Livid Instruments on The Guitar Wing. I’m excited to see more guitar players (and other instrumentalists) exploring the realms of controllerism.
