• Reaktor 5.5 and Moldover’s Ensembles

    By Phaded Vision

If you’ve updated to Reaktor 5.5 and are using Moldover’s Controllerism ensembles, you’ll notice that two of them won’t give you audio output. Why does that happen, especially when everything worked just fine in 5.1?

Well, it’s a simple fix, but it only applies to ensembles that are used with the Reaktor5 Surround plugin. In the update, Native Instruments added a rule that you must have an equal number of inputs and outputs. See where this is going? Good! Just follow the guide below, and you’ll be rockin’ in no time.

We’ll start with the Mix Matrix:

Step 1: Open “(!) Mix Matrix.ens” in Reaktor

    mixmatrix

Step 2: Click this button to change the view, you should see the guts of the patch

    mixmatrix2_0

Step 3: Double click anywhere in the background to go one layer up, and you’ll see where our input/output problem comes into play.

    mixmatrix3

Step 4: Right click (control + click on a Mac) on a panel that says “Out” and click duplicate. Do this two more times for a total of five outputs, then delete the wires on the newly created panels.

    mixmatrix4

The same method applies for the Pre-Mix Matrix since it uses 4 inputs.

You’re done! Leave a comment below if you have any problems.
